This view looking southeast of Bells Gap is seen from a vantage point about a half mile deeper back into the gap and several hundred feet higher than Point Lookout. Place your mouse cursor over the near ridge until you see the red line marking the location of the old railroad bed. The right end of the red line dissappears around the “point” of the ridge and is the approximate location of Point Lookout. Bellwood reservoir is visible in the shadow of the right flank of the gap with Route 865 sweeping toward the bottom left of the image heading up Lloydsville Hollow toward Blandburg and the top of the Plateau. Brush Mountain appears faintly in the distance, over eight miles away. The power line clearing is barely discernable on Brush, most noticably as it nears the top.
