Just down over the edge of the old railroad bed from Point Lookout this rock outcrop cuts a formidable profile amid the Pennsylvania hardwoods. It appears to be held in place by a 12-inch diameter tree, but in reality has only forced the once-tiny sapling around it’s immovable presence. The severe steepness of the terrain allows patches of moss to thrive where the leaves fail to congregate and choke out it’s existence.
