Looking north, this photo was taken in early December 2000 from about 1/3 up the powerline on Brush Mountain. Old Route 220 is visible at the bottom left, with the dominating structure being the red-roofed Minuet Manor Motel. The town of Bellwood evolves from a relatively huddled village to stringing out to the northwest along Route 865 as it makes it's way into Bells Gap. The Gap creates an abrupt interruption in the Allegheny Front, the eastern edge of the Allegheny Plateau. For a wider view of this vista, click here.
